What This Site Is, and What It Is Not
Most sourcing sites are vague about what they actually do and how they get paid. This page is the opposite of that, including the parts that do not flatter us.
The model in one paragraph
You send one RFQ with a drawing. We read it, and if we have shops that already cut your grades at your part size, we pass it to at most 3 of them. They contact you directly with quotes. You compare, you choose, you order from the shop. The shop paid us for the request. You paid nothing, and we take no percentage of what you spend.
If we do not have a good fit, we say so within within 24 business hours rather than sending your drawing to whoever is available. A shop learning your material on your job helps nobody.
This is a small operation run by one person over email. That is why the replies come from a person rather than a portal, and also why there is no phone number.
What we do and do not do
The list below is the whole scope. If something you need is not on the left hand side, we are the wrong supplier for it and it is cheaper for both of us to find that out now.
- DoRead your RFQ properly
Including the drawing, the finish callout and the certificates you asked for.
- DoTell you when the grade is wrong
If the environment you describe will eat the alloy on the print, you hear that before parts are cut.
- DoMatch at most 3 shops
Fewer if only one or two genuinely fit. Your drawing is not broadcast.
- DoHold files until an NDA is signed
If you tick the NDA box, shops see the preview only until it is done.
- DoAnswer within 24 business hours
With matched shops, with questions, or with a clear no.
- NotWe do not own machines
No factory, no spindles, no capacity of our own. Every part is made by an independent shop you contract with directly.
- NotWe do not hold certificates
No ISO 9001, no ISO 13485, no AS9100 of our own. The shops hold their own and you verify them directly.
- NotWe do not take commission
Nothing is added to the shop's price and no order passes through us.
- NotWe do not sell your data
Your details go to the shops that take your request and nowhere else. No marketing lists.
- NotWe do not have a track record yet
This site launched in September 2026. There are no case studies because there is nothing honest to put in them.
How the guides are written
The guides are the part of this site you can judge today. So here is the standard they are held to, and you are welcome to check any of it against a materials handbook.
Published values, labelled
Composition limits come from the common bar specifications. PREN is calculated as chromium plus 3.3 times molybdenum plus 16 times nitrogen. Machinability is rated against free-machining carbon steel B1112 at 100. Every table says so on the page.
Ranges where ranges are the truth
A specification gives a range, so the grade reference shows the range as well as the typical figure. Single numbers hide the fact that two heats of the same grade differ.
No numbers about your part
Nothing here predicts what your geometry will cost, what tolerance a shop will hold or how a specific heat will behave. Those come from the shop, on your drawing.
Found something wrong? Tell us at and it gets corrected with the date noted. That is a better trust signal than a testimonial we could have written ourselves.
Questions about the model
How do you make money if buyers pay nothing?
Shops pay us for a matched request. The buyer pays nothing at any stage, and we take no percentage of the order. That means our incentive is to send shops requests they can win, not to send as many as possible.
Do you mark up the quote?
No. The shop quotes you directly and you order directly from the shop. No money and no order passes through us, so there is nothing for us to mark up.
How old is this site?
New, as of September 2026. We have no client list, no case studies and no track record to show you, and we are not going to invent any. What we can be judged on today is whether the guides are correct and whether we answer within 24 business hours.
Where do the numbers in your guides come from?
Published specification limits and published typical values for the alloy, named on the page. Machinability is rated against free-machining carbon steel B1112 at 100. PREN is calculated as chromium plus 3.3 times molybdenum plus 16 times nitrogen. None of it is a measurement of your part or a promise from a shop.
Who writes this?
One person, working alone, by email. There is no sales team and no call centre, which is also why there is no phone number.
Judge it on a real part
Send something you actually need quoted. You will find out inside a day whether this is useful to you, and it costs nothing to find out.
